11-Year old Fashion Designer Slayed NYFW

A big big round of applause!

It’s not everyday I get a chance to discover pure talent. Jayden  Washer, eleven years old from Houston Texas caught my attention behind the scene at NYFW 2019. It was almost effortless to spot him in a room full of designers as he prepares his models. 

“ My name is Dash ( nice to meet you), I am a blogger, and you have been on my eyes since I walked in here. What’s your name?”

“ I’m Jayden Washer”

“Nice to meet you”

“ Nice to meet you too”

“Nice”

“So how old are you?”

“I’m 11 years old”

“ So when did this all start? 

“ This all started at like 7 years ago. My mom is a fashion designer so it kind of runs in the family. So she taught me how to sew...

I don’t remember what I was doing at 11 years old, but it sure was not designing high couture or walking the NYFW runway. Jayden is far from ordinary. His talent and passion is rare. He is very humble yet fierce at the same time. His passion for fashion is indescribable.  I applaud his parents for nourishing his gift and not neglecting it. The sky is not even the limit for this young designer.

Jayden is our Fashion Inspiration for this week because he embrace challenges and take risks. He works hard to be where he is now. Not only does he have to do well in school, he also have to create remarkable collections. What I admire most about him is that he does both effortlessly.
