ABOUT THE FOUNDER

My name is Dashna Compere and I am the founder of Unfiltered Soles. Born in Haiti, raised in Miami, now in NYC, I am on a journey to find my true authentic self. I am Afrocentric. I represent the nucleus of my Afrocentricity, the offspring of my roots. I dare to stand out and encapsulate who I am: my history, my ethnicity, my culture, my intrinsic cosmetic and expose my Afrocentrism in the purest form. I am built on Genesis through Revelations, but molded by Haitian values. I take pleasure in taking risks and looking for new challenges. My comfort lies in reading, writing and being involved in the Haitian community. My audacious ethos can only be express by the quality of my production. I don’t believe in existence, but in living. Therefore, I strive on a daily basis to improve the quality of my life. I am bold, complex, black art at its best.
